Spanish Toro is a red wine that’s typically like a bull in a china shop. Massive, powerful, unpredictable, maybe even a little intimidating. But not this Toro. This is a nice bull, who will be your new - super chill - best friend. A pleasant, fresh, yet serious red wine made of 100% Tempranillo.

Bigardo means “rebel,” in English.
Winemaker Kiko Calvo is a native of Toro and as a bigardo, he was always questioning why everybody was all about a heavy, over-extracted wine making style.
Kiko worked several harvests around the world from the span of 2011-2015 and brought his knowledge back to his family’s 20-hectare estate.
At Vinos Bigardo, they farm organically - or from Kiko’s perspective - “logically.” No fruit is used in the wine that they wouldn’t eat.
