We adore Cardamaro for its complexity of herbal notes, bitter structures, and rich, nutty finish reminiscent of oloroso sherry. Think Cynar, but more layered and balanced.
Produced by the Bosca family, who have been making wine in the Piedmont for 7 generations, Cardamaro is made from their moscato wine, fortified with neutral grain spirit and sugar, infused with cardoon and Roman thistle (both relatives of artichoke), and aged in oak tanks for at least 6 months. 17% ABV.
