Ariane Lesne has 3.5 hectares of Pineau d'Aunis located throughout the Coteaux du Vendômois. Ariane is working differently than the previous owner of Domaine de Montrieux (Emile Hérédia) by employing shorter macerations and longer elevage. The Grand Gousier (named for the Francois Rabelais character) is from the oldest parcels ranging from 55 to 120 years old. It undergoes an 18 month élevage with another year in bottle.
