A truly incredible spirit -- hands down one of the best gins we've ever tasted. And it's never been exported outside of Denmark, until now.
Isle of Møn is the project of Sara and Uffe Skaaning Lind, who founded it in 2016 with the idea of producing a gin using only botanicals from Møn, a wind and sea-beaten island south of Copenhagen that's known for its white chalk cliffs.
All botanicals for their gins are foraged in the wild on the island. They include juniper, elderflower, angelica root, sweet cicely, tansy, wild rose, lemon balm, mugwort, honey from white clover, and white chalk from the cliffs.
The gin has a trademark salty snap and smells like the landscape of its home. Drinks well neat and on the rocks but nobody will be mad if you use it in a martini or G&T.
44% ABV. 700mL.
