A new wine made for us! Stefan Wellanschitz (of Kolfok fame) brings us a blend of Rotburger and Blaufrankisch. The Rotburger is from slate and gravel soils at the base of the Hochberg Mountain in Neckenmarkt. It is fermented in stainless steel and raised in 1500-3000 large used Austrian barrels. As always minimal intervention, native yeasts, no fining and minimal sulphur. A delicious quaffer of a wine.
