Our only fizzy cuvée (because sparkling is HARD), Tasteful in Nature is 100% Muscat, from Lost Hills Vineyard in the Yorkville Highlands AVA in Mendo, fermented fully on its skins. Sure, the lull was outrageously long, but dammit this wine is outrageously worth the wait. Most people really want to call it a ‘pet-nat’ but this one is actually ‘methode traditionnelle.’
This is ALLLLL muscat, babyyyy. Effusive orange flower and curry spices on the nose, very fine very persistent bubbles, all with an added textural dimension of slight tannin from the muscat skins. Altogether different. Altogether delicious.
