Benoit Courault’s Chenin Blanc 'Empriente' is a powerful and dense expression of one of the signature white varieties within Anjou. The vines are biodynamically farmed on schist soils, lending them plenty of nervy tension. This is the second vintage of this cuvee.

Benoit Courault is a self-made vigneron, who studied winemaking in Beaune and Tavel in the early 2000s.
In 2006, he started his own domaine with the aim of producing quality wines in the Loire.
Schist is a metamorphic soil, composed of flaky rocks and minerals that retains heat and provides good drainage for vines.
This fruit is from the lieut-dit called les Quarts de Gatine.
