From Bombarral in the Lisboa region, this wine comes from organically farmed vineyards planted in clay and sandy soils, with the grapes hand-harvested in early September. It’s a blend of 90% Fernão Pires and 10% Arinto, fermented naturally with wild yeasts on the skins for 12 days in stainless steel. After fermentation, the grapes are lightly pressed and the wine continues to age in stainless steel without bâtonnage.

QUICK TAKE: "So fun! Watermelon, saline, funky, and lively" — those were my tasting note. The perfect bottle for the fact that it’s still in the 90s in DC. I’d grab one or two!
