Formerly known as Something for the Kids - our skin fermented orange Riesling is back! It’s a tropical explosion with more balance than the previous 2020 Vintage which is aging incredibly. Crafted from Dill Vineyard Riesling at 6300’, the expressions at this site are on another level of tropical that the other Riesling sites we work with don’t quite express. Always the last harvest, each vintage we wait patiently for ripening, feeling the cold moving in, watching as the leaves start to fall, trying to predict the first snowfall. It needs to be at 23+ brix for us to achieve the goals of this wine, to fully express what it has to offer, a juxtaposition between eclectic acid tang and balanced, structured elegance. The nose is pure gasoline and flowers, passion fruit and oranges. The wine hits you upfront with candied orange peel and tamarind leading into hints of blueberry cream and leaving you with wormwood undertones amongst the chalky fine tannins. Playful and serious, it's one for a party or it’s one for a party of one.
