From a small, organically certified family estate in the Dão, Quinta do Perdigão produces just 6,000 bottles of this Jaen Reserve. Made from 100% Jaen (Mencia) planted in 1997, the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak, giving it a complex, elegant character with a smooth finish. A beautiful example of the grape and the high-altitude, granite-rich terroir of the Dão.

QUICK TAKE: This wine is now ten years old! It's lighter in color, with softer fruit and lovely notes of herbal spice. A unique wine that's definitely not glou-glou - this one calls for richer flavors and is best when paired with food.
