This zero-zero, direct-press blend of 2023 Auxerrois and Sylvaner with 2022 Grand Cru Kirchberg Riesling comes from Kirchberg, a southeast-facing vineyard in Alsace sheltered from north winds. Its steep, clay- and limestone-rich slopes give intensity, mineral acidity, and real backbone, while the Riesling—blending the warm 2022 and fresher 2023 vintages—was vinified in 100-year-old foudres, creating perfect balance and depth.
The wine is made by Clément and Sylvain Goepp at the foot of Mont Sainte-Odile, who manage 11 hectares including Grand Cru parcels and an impressive cellar of foudres dating back to 1896.
