Mellow peat thanks to the Sherry maturation: Tight and nervous nose, fresh and floral, reminiscent of grilled almond. Full-flavored, powerful, nervous yet silky textured, it feels round and soft on the palate with licorice flavors. Nice length, very fresh, round, spicy and peppery, slightly toasted. Like a fight between Sherry and Peat: "Candid" means that this whisky has been bottled just before that peat disappears.
98 proof. Peated single malt, aged 8 years in PX sherry casks. Dry cellar at beginning and very humid cellar for the last 2 years. Serve at 65-70 °F.
