About the Wine: Established in 1965, the estate is now run by second-generation siblings Valérie and Jean-Christophe in Arbois, the main city of the Jura and the hub of the region’s most established appellation. The family estate spans 17 hectares (~42 acres) and works with all the traditional Jura grapes: reds Poulsard, Trousseau, Pinot Noir, and whites Chardonnay & Savagnin, producing the region’s specialties including Vin Jaune, Vin de Paille, and Crémant.

Valérie studied wine in Mâcon while Jean-Christophe studied in Beaune. Valérie oversees the commercial side of the estate, and Jean-Christophe manages the vineyards and winemaking. Their 17 hectares include several parcels in Montigny, notably a few hectares in Les Bruyères, where the heavy marl soils are ideal for Poulsard and Savagnin.

The estate farms using lutte raisonnée (reasoned struggle), balancing careful vineyard management with sustainable practices. They employ one full-time vineyard worker along with seasonal harvest help, and hand-harvest most grapes while also using machinery when needed. Like their father, they still sell a small portion of fruit to the cooperative.

This rosé is 100% Poulsard, a grape known for producing bright, cherry-red wines and tart, crisp rosés, reflecting the Jura’s unique terroir and character.
