Brothers Romain & Jean-Guillaume rooted in Aloxe-Corton, decided to create their own domaine in 2009; Chapuis Frères. Based in Pommard, they make wines under two different labels, Chapuis Frères (classic cuvees) and Chapuis et Chapuis (cuvees with no added sulfite). The younger brother Romain, a flying winemaker who finally settled back in Burgundy, spent three years working with Philippe Pacalet. It was after this job that he decided to make his wine. Chapuis et Chapuis was then started. The grapes come from their family vineyards or friends and organic growers.
100% Pinot Noir, hand harvested. Native yeast fermentation, 6 months in tank, 18 months on the lees in bottle.
