Alexandre Giquel studied in Amboise for winemaking (like Marie Rocher) and then became an expert in training draft horses. The fruit for the 'Huit-Launay' is all organically farmed negoce fruit, but he has small parcels in Vouvray where he produces Chenin and Gamay (Chenin 90% and Gamay 10%). The labels were drawn by Hubert Poirot-Bourdain, a French press illustrator.
