This year, Ariane lost all of her Chenin Blanc to frost and hail. The Ithybole label this year is inverted as a nod to her pivot to a blanc-de-noirs style using Pineau d'Aunis from 20 year-old vines. Though Ariane expected to create a rosé, this is a decidedly white wine marked by the expressive zippy, peppery aromas we know and love from Pineau.
