Our intention is to harvest our pinot noir for Rosé at a time where acids begin to dip slightly and phenolic ripeness begins to occur. This ensures our attempt at bright, flavorful, mineral-laden Rosé.
2024 can be summed up as historically average. And that is a welcome description. Temperatures were mild in general, bouncing back and forth between cool and warm stretches coinciding with flowering in mid-June. Soils had a lot of moisture and vine vigor was on point. Cool and warm stretches continued into September, ensuring harvest of a lower alcohol, high acid, and a classically framed Willamette Valley vintage. Adding to this, we dodged smoke moving south from B.C. Plenty of dry extract, minerality, flavor and firm acidity in the resulting wines.
