100% Sauvignon Blanc harvested from two parcels within the Loire Valley – one planted in 1950 and the other in 1964. Half of the original vines still remain, while the other half of each parcel has been gradually replanted over the last two decades. The fruit is whole cluster pressed and undergoes spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in large oak tanks, and is aged in Burgundy barrels on its lees. This almost buttery, tropical Sauvvy-b has loads of ‘tude – perfect for Chardy lovers looking to switch teams!
  • Clos du Tue-Boeuf is a project between two brothers, Jean-Marie and Thierry Puzelat, and was one of the leading producers of the Natural Wine movement within the Loire Valley in the 1990s.
  • The Puzelat brothers tend their 10-hectare family property in Les Montils within the Cheverny AOC and rent four hectares in the Touraine AOC.
  • The brothers tend to vines of Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Menu Pineau, Pinot Noir, Gamay, Cabernet Franc and Côt.
  • They started selling their wines as declassified wines because they prioritized trusting their process over the appellation’s rules.
