Ariane Lesné is a master of crafting wines with Pineau d’Aunis. 2020 was a difficult vintage with extremely low yields in the Loire, and thus the 2020 Picrochole is sourced from all of Ariane's Pineau d’Aunis vines, including her oldest vines that normally make her higher-end cuvee Grand gousier. The vines were macerated for over two months and pumped over in tank, yielding a floral and spicy quality with purple fruit snd chalky white pepper tannins.
