This beautifully copper-colored blend defies expectations in the best possible way. Tram-Cham-Bapple Virginia Coferment is mostly Ruby Red crab apples and a blend of the hybrid varieties Chambourcin and Traminette from Virginia-based winery, Midland Wine. It's aromatic, playful, and sort of like an idealized cross between the best parts of rosé and skin-contact wine.
- This is Domestique’s fourth collaboration with Midland Wine, and the inspiration for this wine came from the continued experimentation of mixing fruit and grapes to convey a sense of place and time.
- The label for this wine was created by An-Phuong Ly of An Made, who creates beautiful naturally-dyed textiles using foraged wild plants and botanicals.
- The textiles were created specifically for the label; An believes in giving secondary life to natural materials that are considered undesirable or unusable.
- Co-ferments using native fruits and hybrid grapes are the future of wine, especially on the East Coast. And this is one of the best we've ever had.
