Founded in 1961, the Renner family estate in Neusiedlersee is now led by siblings Stefanie Renner and Susanne Renner, who have developed a biodynamic approach while building on the foundation established by their parents. “Intergalactic” is a biodynamic field blend of Welschriesling (46%), Weißburgunder (15%), Chardonnay (15%), Grüner Veltliner (12%), Gewürztraminer (8%), and Muskat Ottonel (4%), sourced from vines aged 8–30 years on clay, sand, and chalk in the Obere Heide and Goldberg vineyards. The grapes are hand-harvested, undergo a 5-day maceration with 30% whole cluster fermentation in stainless steel, and are then aged for 5 months on the lees in a combination of used barriques, 1200L foudre, and clay amphora.
