A regal expression from Yohan Lardy composed of 100% Gamay from a tiny 2 hectare block of vines planted in 1950 and 1911 within the legendary Moulin-A-Vent appellation. This gracefully powerful symphony of flowers, fruit and tannins is priced at a steal (especially from Moulin-A-Vent.) Liquid proof that wines can be both strong and beautiful.

Though Yohan worked for his family for many years, the 2012 vintage was his first under his own wine label.
Yohan does all the work in the vineyard by hand - including harvest - and in the cellar whole cluster fermentation happens spontaneously, with no sulfur added.
Out of the 10 Beaujolais crus, Moulin-A-Vent is one of our favorites.
The vines are located in a single Clos - a vineyard surrounded by a wall - planted with poppies and flowers.
