The Texier Vin de France Rouge is a blend of 75% Cinsault and 25% Grenache. Le Preyna is the name of an old parcel planted with 75% Cinsault and 25% Grenache in granite soils. The grapes are pressed and fermented in concrete to keep things fresh and light before bottling.
- Martin Texier led multiple lives prior to following in his father – the legendary Eric Texier’s – footsteps and returning to the vines.
- Prior to winemaking, Martin was an economics major, then ventured into music and was an accomplished DJ.
- He now has five hectares in and around St-Julien-enSt.-Alban planted with Muscat, Chasselas Rose, Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault.
- The property has many different soil types here: clay, limestone, gneiss, schist and granite.
